Adjusting my carberator
I just got a 73 bug, love it my third in my life time, been a while since I have worked on them and I want to put it all back stock.First problem, there are so many books out there, can one of you folks advise me as what would be a good book, to adjust the carberator and evrything else !!! What model carb do you have? Lots of later cars run a 34pict3 so I'll throw this link out there just in case that is what you have.

This will tell you how to set the idle rpms, and get a proper mixture setting.
For general maintenance, I agree with Scott. The Idiot Book is great and a Bentley manual is great too.
