had a friend in the early 80's racing a aircooled rabbit called Rare Hare. Sadly, I cant remember if it was on a pan or not- but it was strictly race, not street.

I also recall an Mk1 cabriolet... perhaps in VW Trends... that was aircooled but that golf is probably the nicest I've seen... I'd drive it!
Somehow it seems less wrong to make a watercooled car aircooled than it does to make an aircooled watercooled!

screw that, i'm looking for a subaru boxer motor, for my baja
lol. its still a flat 4, so i guess that counts for something. or maybe a reverse rotation turbo corvair flat 6 with 94mm vw cylinders, making it a 3.2L . the possibilities are endless, lol

kennedy makes an adaptor plat to mount pretty much any kinda of motor to a vw transmission. even some that make no sense. I'm sure a vw tranny will hold up to big block, lol.
