Adding Pictures
Got a question....
I tried to put a couple new pictures in the gallery and it wouldn't let me.
It gave me a message of pictures being to large and I couldn't add more.
Checked and the new ones are the same size as the ones in there already.
So my question is....Is my computer calling me a dumbass ?

I was just posting some long response about resizing images to get more space... That would help...

Re: Adding Pictures
Please try and re-size your images before you upload. Sometimes they are way larger than they need to be. Good size is, 72 DPI and no wider than 1000 pixels. Don't have a graphic editor? Here's a free online version...

Re: Adding Pictures
If someone wants to donate, does it matter which link they click on? I know we are currently have the .com forums up and running but the site was originally set up under the .net forums. Does forumotion recognize these as the same site?? Just want to make sure it will get to the correct account and be usable.

Re: Adding Pictures
theres an icon with a picture with a disk in front of it above where you type in your post (next to the regular insert picture icon)
click that , upload your image, then copy the code it gives you and paste that into your post.

Re: Adding Pictures
Our storage space is full. With the current forum setup, we have to buy more space and It fills up quickly. I think it's best if we upload the photos to flickr or something like it. Then add the photos to the posts with the code snippet above.
Also, it fills up quickly because a lot the photos are larger than they need to be. Please try and re-size your images before you upload. Good size is, 72 DPI and no wider than 1000 pixels. Don't have a graphic editor? Here's a free online version...

Re: Adding Pictures
i use the serv image thing if its only like 1 or 2 pics but for a bunch its way easier to use my photobucket
Re: Adding Pictures
I get the servimg box, browse for my picture and hit the host it button, but what next? How do you get rid of the servimg box? It's covering the text box.
