Brad Penn Oil on Sale Empty Brad Penn Oil on Sale

Post by 71_georgia_beetle Mon Apr 06, 2009 8:32 pm

Through my own online research, Jake Raby and confirmed by Charles Navarro from LN Engineering, Brad Penn is one of the best, if not the best oils to be running in our ACVWs. Here is where I bought my Brad Penn oil. CLICK HERE$4.29 less shipping a quart. It's on sale. I paid $60.61 a case 4 months ago.

Here is some data on oil. http://www.lnengineering.com/oil.html

Charles said you can call Brad Penn and they will tell you the nearest dealer. Is that how you found this source Scott?

I might give that a try. No one local that I know of. I found them and buyracingproducts.com on Google products. Not a lot of dealer or at least online dealers out there.

That's because those aholes jacked the price to $8.50 a quart and killed the link. I found it on ebay for $46.99 a case (12) $3.91 a quart. Item number: 250405448383

does he happen to say which oil is best from a store (wal mart, advance auto, etc.)? any recommendations on that? I use castrol syntec full synthetic, but i'm guessing it's prolly not the best to use. Is 20-50 really what we should use??? i can see on an old tired engine, but what if we freshly build an engine, wouldn't you want to use 5-30?

I've always bought the Brad Penn oil from Charles at LN. But at $65 bucks a case(plus shipping), I'm switching to something else...something I can find local. Charles mentioned Royal Purple Max Cycle as a favorite.

Kendal was the closest on a local level and I think the choices had more to do with them being air cooled vs the age of the engine.

Hey Buzz, If you have a CarQuest near you, they sell Royal Purple. Not that it's that much cheaper but no shipping.

yeah, I think it's a little more expensive, but at least I can buy just five qts at a time.

Also, Kendall is not the same oil we grew up with. Brad Penn took its place with the proper ZDDP content, and I think it's manufactured at the old Kendall factory.
