| You should get the biggest piece of crap you can find and plug it in. Then, as she gives you dirty looks from the pasenger seat of a broke down VW, remind her of the money she didn't want to spend. _________________ Of course I drive it every day... and stop calling me Shirley.

| I have a brand new WEBBER intake and either the single port or dual port intakes to mount it. or I'll have a complete WEBBER set up tommorow when they deliver my 1972 1302 to the house. I can pull that carb and intake off and mount them on my test 1600 DP that is on the stand waiting for me to put the tin on it again, but it'll probabably run a little bit rich since it is only a 1600 and the 1302 has some kind of supped up thing in it. PM me if your interested. I'll take $75 for the new WEBBER intake and your choice of either a set of single or dual port end casings. I'll need to clean and run the other webber set after tommorow to test it. I also have 2 practically new 34 pict3 carbies that I can make you a deal on. I have some new oversized jets for these as well, and an extra DP intake set up. LMK. KC _________________ 1972 Automatic Stickshift standard beetle. | I might be interested in one of those 34pict-3's, assuming "73 super" doesn't want them both. building a motor for my rail, and have plenty of intakes, and endcastings lying around, lol. _________________ 61 Baja 952 Berrien Sand Rail unknown Sand Rail (GOT FOR FREE) Rusty beyond all repair Sand Rail 69 Baja (GOT FOR FREE) 1929 Mercedes benz kit car on 70 bug frame (GOT FOR FREE) 74 Super beetle: No longer turbo'd at the moment ...___ .(____) (O\ ! /O) ..ll......ll.............

| I edited My original Post to alieviate any Confusion. One of the DP STOCK intakes is a brand new VW of Mexico Solid Steel one. The preheat tubes are about 2 times as thick as the 70's ones. The other one I have is a freshly Sandblasted Pre 1973 intake with only minor rust pits on the preheat tubes. Thanks. KC _________________ 1972 Automatic Stickshift standard beetle. | oh, well in that case, i might also be interested in the mexico stock intake. how much do you want for 1 new carb, and the intake? i just have a bunch of stock 70's intakes, but most of the heat risers are rusty. but i am trying to stay on a budget, so well see, lol. _________________ 61 Baja 952 Berrien Sand Rail unknown Sand Rail (GOT FOR FREE) Rusty beyond all repair Sand Rail 69 Baja (GOT FOR FREE) 1929 Mercedes benz kit car on 70 bug frame (GOT FOR FREE) 74 Super beetle: No longer turbo'd at the moment ...___ .(____) (O\ ! /O) ..ll......ll.............

| Bugman, Your 2nd on the list after whatever '73 doesn't want. The 34 pict 3's that I have are a Bocar with 4K miles on it that I personally put on it. It isn't set up for my Autostick and doesn't give correct vaccume sigs for the DVDA distributor and vaccume modulator that I run in my AS set up. The other is a Empi one with less than 100 miles on it. The PO of this carb got me to install a used 30/31 on her DP because this 34 wouldn't idle correctly. It was the same problem with an Autostick and these being standard shift carbs. Both of these carbs have been setting in the dry for 1-2 years and I'll probably not ever use both of them. The Bocar one (with box) is $100 The Empi one (no box) is $80 - It is less expensive, but I did run it on my Auto stick to see if it reacted any better than the Bocar one did, No difference. Carbs run out well but have the wrong butterfly valves in them as well as the wrong ports tapped for me to run the correct vaccume to my stuff, and my idling suffers (gotta be able to keep that torque converter spinning. The VWoMex intake is $60. It still has the stickers on it and I plan on using it if it doesn't sell, so it isn't a problem if it doesn't. for '73's sake the sandblasted intake is $35 and will need to be painted, I sandblasted all the old paint and grime off this past weekend. I have numerous larger idle and run jets for the 34's, so I can get you a jet that will give you more Gas at idle and at run for the larger engine - we can talk about it when whoever gets a 34 from me. Thanks. KC _________________ 1972 Automatic Stickshift standard beetle. Yes it runs well, no I do not want to convert it to a 4 spd.
