New member from Woodstock
Hi I'm Alan from Woodstock. Moved here in January after 25 years in Roswell just down the road. I am a long time Pelican, with a 78 911SC I have owned for 22 years now. Its an awesome ride. I had a Karmann Ghia and a 68 Camper Bus but always wanted a Thing..Found a 73 about 6 weeks ago not too far from home.
It needs some tweaking but is in really good shape and has a lot of extras.
Has a 1.8 but also came with the 1.6 original engine. In the paperwork I found the name of the owner who sold it to the guy I bought it from in 2007 or 8. Emailed him and got a lot of info on the work he did to it.

Greetings and welcome!
How much do you want for the SC? Just kidding, I can't afford them any more. Shoulda bought when I could. (I'm a "Pelican without Porsche", that's a great forum over there too)

Sounds like you came across a sweet deal. I wish all cars came with their history. It would have saved a lot of time trying to find problems.Alansd wrote:

I am very happy with the deal. I also have boxes of parts from Bugs and the Thing, I will try to sell some of the stuff that I don't need. In a few weeks I will post photos. Too much stuff!
