Volkstock August 7 - 9

The dates are set for Volkstock 2015.

Friday August 7 thru to Sunday the 9th.

Put it on your calendar NOW. No excuses about not knowing far enough in advance.

If you are not sure what Volkstock is, feel free to ask questions or read thru previous years' post to understand all the excitement!

No, but I'm still not doing any major projects at Volkstock

I am stoked...we will be there.

Wouldn't miss it. Gotta "pay it forward" after all the help I got on my motor last year.

Volkstock will be here before you know it!

Volkstock is a weekend long tech 'day' if you will. Due to the generosity of Ken and Inge we have garage large enough to hold 4 VWs at a time.
We help each other with any needs our VWs have. From tune-ups to carb adjusting to engine removal or installing. If it needs to be done, we do it.

We also eat well with plenty of food provided and a cook-out Saturday night. Many of us camp or spend the night in a spare room. There is also a nice big swimming pool to keep things fresh and cool.

sounds like a fun time. I am actually playing Saturday night with my band at Wild Wings in Athens. So I might not be able to drive the THING down. But I would like to come by during the day and check it out. There is a lot I am trying to learn. PM me the address of you can.

Are you sure you are playing at Wild Wings in Athens?     Our Wild Wings went out of business a couple of years ago.

yup thats right its Buffalo's, a newer club. We usually play around Duluth and ATL so this is a new spot for us. Hope it goes well.

OK! I know where Buffalos is. I'm sure it will be great. We'll look for you to stop in at Volkstock.

wish I could bring the Thing, as it needs some adjustments. But just getting more familiar with the engine and all will help me. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Here is the link to the thread about Volkstock on the Athens Club site. There is new info on food and lodging reservations. There are plenty of sleeping choices, all at no charge, but you do need to reserve your spot.

WOW! What a weekend! Biggest Volkstock ever with 30+ people in and out thru the course of the weekend. Thanks to everyone who attended. If you went away hungry or still needing work done on your VW it was your choice. We had tons of good food and plenty of people assisting with projects. A big thanks to Pat for all his work on my bus. I could never have done it.

Yes, Volkstock was awesome again. I had a blast, if you missed it, there is always next year.
