Athens VW Club Presents The Camp n' Cruise

We've finalized the details for the next evolution of the poker run. It's called the camp n' cruise. We will start the event on Fri night May 29th at Two Wheels in Suches. It's a motorcycle only location situated in the north east ga mountains but they've opened their doors to us for the weekend. Saturday morningish we'll head out on a cruise in the north GA mountains returning back to the campsite that night for a nice cook out.

More details to follow but go ahead and start planning to be there now.

Cabins are available for those not wishing to bus/tent camp.

When they took my reservation, she told me they have 4 cabins now and that they will have 8 cabins by then

I'm looking forward to this drive. I changed the wheels and tires on the Thing and got rid of the horrible vibration I was getting at 60 mph.

I ordered new rear shocks too. I'm so ready to have the Thing in the mountains again.

here's the route info etc, there won't be any electrical hookups at the camp site so bring a lantern/flash light etc.

Well, we made a big goof up. We will not be able to make it this year.
There is a dance recital scheduled for my daughter on Saturday, this will also be her last dance recital. She has decided to pursue different activities as she enters High School. So have fun without us and good luck. If you need a cabin let me know and we can work together on transferring it.

Wish I could make it this year, but we already had a trip booked for that weekend. You guys have a blast and hopefully I can make it next year.

We had a great time. The route was nice and scenic and the weather couldn't have been better.

The weather was great, the campsite was awesome, the route was scenic, a very fun weekend!
