Well, we can say that the VW experiment is over. She really enjoyed that 71 Westy but in the end I guess she finally realized that she was in way over her head with it. She got to take it camping, took it to a show where it had a crowd around it the whole time with people talking about how they had one back in the day. We took it to Daytona for the Rod Run and within one hour of unloading it off the trailer she had a really good cash offer starring at her in the face. She took it. She sold it to a broker that was commissioned to find a 71 Westfalia that weekend. So, in a month after the paperwork clears it will be put into a container and sent back home to Germany (Berlin). Thanks to everyone that helped out and gave advice along the way. The sale did not come easy for her but she realized that she'd never be able to get it to the level that it will soon get to. I don't know if she'll go back to a VW, you never say never but for now she's happy with her purchase she made at the show, a 1963 Pontiac Catalina. A little more mainstream, easy to work on and get parts for. So, thanks again to those that were a big help.

Well, I guess if that's what she wanted, then that's a good thing. The Pontiacs have a soft spot with me. There was a 65 Tempest in my family in the past. I hope to see you guys around and good luck with the new venture.
