I have a set of 34s with intakes and filters that I took off a Squareback I would part with.

Replied to your "wanted" ad. Just wanted to put a heads up in this thread too.

OK fellas,
Will a type 1 or a bus tow bar fit on a T3 front beam?
I am interested in flat towing the T3uck back to the house in the next week or so.
I have sourced a complete early T3 engine, that was a "Running when pulled" back 20 years ago.
I will need a stock linkage for the carbs, any one have one or is there an aftermarket one that is better, the only experience I have with center pulls is on a T1 fan housing application.
Gonna pull the tin off and pull the heads and clean and check.
Any issues, I'll just put a set of DP heads on my 1500 SP block and run it.
(I have extra DP heads, and the block is a universal case).

I put the T'backs on the Ghia so I have my Rivis to put on this thing...
Excited to get the beast home and start on Resurrection.
KC
Thanks for all the help so far.

As far as I know there is not a tow bar for type 3s. Neither bug nor bus bar will work.

There isn't one. Dolly would be best. Otherwise you would have to make one of those universal tow bars work.

I will take one of my Beetle bars (I have 2) and the bus bar over this weekend and do a mock up and see what the dealio is. If it is a matter of fabbing some new ends for the different heights and widths of the tubes on the T3 then I will just cut up and modify a beetle one to work.
This would give me the ability to tow anything...

a couple of ideas here. one using a super towbar, and one using a regular beetle tow bar.

Bump, Still have it.
It stares at me every day as I walk by.
I did Pressure Wash all the gunk off.
I put 4 Riviera's on it and it really looks good.
I now have 2 type 3 engines and enough stuff to convert over a universal T1 1500 SP I have for this when needed.
I am thinking about indexing up the front and rear and possibly doing the Plastic 2X4 body lift to get some 30X10X15's under it...
Kinda like the Baja lifted look with some KC highlights on a bar in the "bed"...
