1970 Bay "Hickory"
Picked him up a couple of weeks ago and already went on a 400 round trip adventure. Ran great with 6 passengers and fully loaded with luggage. Mexican blankets cover the mix-match middle and rear but kind-of digging the vibe. Really like the color, not original but close. Seat belts all around with retractables in the front. PO was part of the "Full Moon Bus Culb" near Savannah. He used him to pull his pop-up camper. He stated it had new front seats, transmission, brakes, tires and clutch. Installed a new starter, battery and wood floor. Has a little bit of rust here and there that will need some attention. Hopefully in the near future, I'll be able to afford to lower him a bit, NOT slammed, but low enough to level him out and fit in the garage without propping up the door. I'm real happy that I found a running, driving, stopping bus that doesn't need a complete retoration and that the wife thinks is "handsome".

Re: 1970 Bay "Hickory"
Wow, it's been a little less than a month ago when I pulled the engine because of some slippage. Come to find out the pressure plate collapsed due to a bad throw-out bearing arm was re-welded?!? This caused the throw-out bearing to be off center with the pressure plate. I installed a new throw-out bearing arm, new bearing and seals. Thanks to Tim Baker and Will, got the fly wheel nut off to replace the main seal, clutch and pressure plate AND got the engine back in the bus. You guys are AWESOME!!! Thanks again!! Because the drive axle's were toast, shocks and tie rods I think were original, I replaced them too. Oh yea, installed a new accelerator cable as well. Got the bus all put back together and on Monday got an alignment done and drove him all day!!! Considering I only had a couple of hours every other day to work on him, pretty stoked to have him back on the road as quicly as I did and driving straight!!
