may be getting

i may be getting a 74 bug with a sun roof. the only issue i see with this car is the sun roof leaks. i know they all leak but does any one know of a place to have this fixed and a price. would need new headliner also. i would just like it to be factory and not gush water, surely there has to be a way to fix it without welding it or puting silicone in it

They dont all leak.

I can fix it as long as most of the parts are there. Some are hard to find.

If you open it up, you should see some drain tubes in the front of the opening- make sure that they're not plugged up with leaves and debris- water gets past the felt seal around the steel panel, but is supposed to drain out the front and rear of the mechanism and down the pillars. If they're clogged, there's no where else for water to go but inside the interior

If it's missing parts the replacements are very expensive, and some parts they don't make new anymore! Good luck!

Parts may be a little high, but you will only have to buy them once. Properly adjusted and lubed they will work great for years. I wouldnt let a sunroof scare me away.

I have had about 4 metal roof cars. Love um. Work well when built right.

well got the car sun roof isnt my concern any more, my heat risers have rusted through and my car lacks power, any help would be nice. its a 1600 dual port. 34 pict carb.could this be the clutch going out? seems to not slip and it is real sluggish just reving it from carb. also it does not want to start back up when its warm. please please help thanks

Check your points gap and adjust valves.

i think its complete just not working. when i try to use the handle the roof will move a very little then it just clicks. tried both directions. im clueless on sunroofs but positive on duck tape hehe
