Hey I see there is a bus forsale where I live and I would like to know what to look for. I know the obvious rust on the floor pans, but is there anything else I should look for? Thanks bounce

Check for rust under the bus on the frame. You don't want none of this! (not my bus, just a pic from the samba)

Nah, there not all like that. That's an extreme case. My rear crossmember is in pretty bad shape, but it looks like it's mostly from abuse (using it as a jack point, hitting curbs, running over hobos), rather than from rust.

Haha! I'll keep the faith and hope this one is in good shape. It looks like it has a hole by the drivers side floor pan.

Hows the rust around the windshield? How solid is the battery tray? How are the brakes? Rear bumper? Is it a daily driver? I paid 1000 for the snow cone bus and then put around 2000 more in it buying seals, tires, brakes and all kinds of smalls plus I did all the work myself.....so with that said it looks like its a little on the high side

I'll look and check this list of hotspots too see if its solid. The guy said he drove it around to haul stuff. For his lawn business.

I don't like that rust around the jack points. The rear corner could use some por15 too.

Test drove it and shifts smoothly. Motor came out of a letter bus, it's a 1600 cc dual port.
