Ghia Parcel Trays
Anyone here know anything about them? I searched the Samba and found a little info but not much. From what I read, it seems that the one I have might be a Kamei. I am preparing for the possibility that my Ghia will not sell by trying to figure out what it might be worth in pieces.

Re: Ghia Parcel Trays
I have a NICE ghia shell w/ Trans I might sell, I just got another Bus today!
Pans are toasty but the rest is in really great shape, just a few small holes at battery area.

Re: Ghia Parcel Trays
Hey I was under the impression that Kamei made spoilers for the front and body kits for our ACVW's, I didn't know that they made interior metal.laith wrote:Anyone here know anything about them? I am under the impression that the parcel tray is the metal behind the rear seat... is that what your asking about?
Thanks,
KC

Re: Ghia Parcel Trays
KC..I didn't know that they made interior pieces either...and I am still not sure that they made my parcel tray, just going off of the small amount of info found on the samba.
I agree about the confusion over "parcel tray" but I haven't found a better term. I am talking about the under dash tray, often seen made from bamboo. Mine is a metal framed piece with a fabric netting and it was great to have for extra storage on the trip. Here is a picture:

Re: Ghia Parcel Trays
Ah! I see!
That is cool, I have never seen one like that before...
I'd take the Price for a used Beetle one and add 50% - 100% and start there, that seems to be the modes operand in Beetle v/s Ghia parts.
I didn't mean to Jack your thread earlier, I forgot yours is a vert.
The running engine should be worth about 1/3 - 1/2 your asking price.
especially with that custom alternator set up!
GLWS,
KC

Re: Ghia Parcel Trays
Thanks for the input and don't worry about the thread jack. As far as the alternator set up increasing the value....the jury is out

Re: Ghia Parcel Trays
Hey Scott, let me know if you decide to sell that tray. My sister-in-law might like it for her Ghia.

I will keep you in mind. Still trying to decide when I should stop trying to sell it whole and start parting it out.
