Pearl my RHD 1302 from Japan

Here is some more dash pictures. I've done a little more "art" on her



I love music so the MJ is for Michael Jackson and CASH is for Johnny


I pulled my shifter and sanded it and repainted it so it looks nice again


I also finally got my stereo added. All Memphis Audio except for the head unit. 6.5's in the front, 6x9 in the rear, and a Memphis Mojo 12 powered by a Memphis amp. I also added a VW logo on the rear deck to fill the sppace between the 6x9's




Lastly I installed a HID kit. I went with a 3500 temp so it has a yellow tint to them. The nice thing about these is they also have a regular low beam halogen bulb as well. I have the HID's on the low beam and if I want "normal" headlights I just click my high beams and it turns off the HID's and turns on the halogens If you look close you can see the double bulb set up

It looks great, I am glad you decided to keep it.
I'm gonna wish I had those T'backs back for the Ghia, but I'll just round up another set...

There is a company here locally on Sugarloaf Pky. near 316. All they do is HID's and all the led bulbs and stuff. I think the complete kit was $65. I have been using them for years.

Well Pearl is gone. I traded her today for a 66 Vert. She sits stock for now but will get a proper stance down the road. She is a very solid car and I'm looking forward to enjoying the summer in her

Yep! He included a lot of parts as well. Seems to be a good solid Bug. I need to do a few things like go over the brakes and I think replace the starter but thats no big deal. Plus included with all the parts was a brand new starter

Saw it just after he got it. Very nice I think it was Yukon Yellow at one time. Keep it for a while Gary.

Yep...original color was Yukon Yellow. Hopefully I will keep this one...lol I've been looking for "the" Bug for a while and I have to say I am really excited about this one

Cool! I remember Ed brought that out to one of our old starbucks meets years ago. He had to crawl under it before he left to tap on the starter even way bacl then, so I guess he never got around to fixing that.

I'll try and find out. I don't remember. I'm pretty sure they only did the one pearl white color in 2010
