If you don't have the lights straightened out by Thursday, let me know and I'll come over and try to help you get them working right. We'll get them working one way or another.

(edit: nevermind, saw your other post. Glad you got them working!)

I cleaned/sprayed the signal switch with WD40 and worked it a good bit to clean the pads off. It seems to have improved greatly. I have to clean all the contact points on the tail lights. It will come down to the wire I had to work on Geek last night. Rear brakes were shot. I have a M/C that is leaking a good bit over night but I'll carry extra fluid.

I have a short list but most of the items on it are big ticket items, build rear seat/bed , build doors(scrapers, trim, seals, regulator, window), electrical issues, wheel cylinder, bumpers

Unbelievable amount of work in a short time known as " Bob Speed",
the rest of us mere mortals can only dream of working at 1/5th Bob speed.

Little more work on "Moto". Got the Deluxe trim out and polished it, still had a dull look to it. But installed all the clips and trim. I found my good slider door bumper that has a good spring and clip so when the door is opened all the way it latches and will not close on you. You have to operate the outside handle to unlatch it when closing the slider. Got the slider grove covers on with the new beading, what a pain but it is on and looks good. I had a new poly bushing for the slider door guide so I changed that out and it is a little smoother now.

Still having some blinker issues. The indicators will work sometimes and then most of the time not. Drivers side rear blinker will stop blinking, I'll need to take the turn signal switch out and clean it very good with something. I do have the one from the '71 so it might get tested and installed. Last week I hooked up the speedo cable. It works and is nice and silent. Driving the heck out of the Bus, Love it. Never thought these things were this much cooler than a Bug to drive.

Next week I'd like to start on the front beam and work towards lowering it a touch.

Been driving the Bug last couple days. But today I got my ex-Vanagon seat belts I purchased from someone on Samba. Fantastic shape and got all the pieces and all 5 belts. Installed the front ones in "Moto" tonight. They look great and work just as great!

Also I had ordered the front kick panels, the ABS ones. They fit great and finish off that crap that is under the dash that you can see. Well no more!!!
Bus is coming together need to go to Doodles house and get my engine stuff.

I drove Geek last week so I could thrash on the Bus. It was hot as hell last week, even in the evenings. But I managed to swap out the beam, drop the rear and fix some stuff that needed some attention.

It's not super low and NO I don't want to slam it so don't suggest it. I like it where it is at and I like worry free driving. It rides just like it did before and when loaded I don't think I'll have a problem. The muffler is about 4" off the ground and that is too close for me but I'll have to live with that.
