Garage floor paint Empty Garage floor paint

Post by peregrine67 Mon Oct 24, 2011 7:31 pm

We're redoing our garage thanks to a massive water leak back in May. I'd like to paint the garage floor. We've seen several different products but I just wanted to put this out there to get everybody's advice. Some the things we've seen are really really expensive and some just peeled up after just a few months. I don't mind paying a little more for something nice. Advice? Any personal stories about a product that worked well for them?

I used the two part epoxy that Sherwin Williams has. I think its called Dura-Clad, put it down about 8 years ago and still holding up great. The key is in the prep work. I acid etched the concrete and pressure washed it a couple of times before application of the epoxy.

Yeah, i work on forklifts at a warehouse that runs 24/7. They use the Sherwin Williams 2part epoxy. They put it down with a squeegee. Let me say this, we had a forklift take off with the sidegate off and a 2300lb battery shot out of the side and the coating didn't get damaged at all.
