Red Ragtop 62 Beetle

I'm headed to Monticello, Florida this am to pick up a car I have wanted for some time. It's a 62 ragtop (original, not grafted). Currently sporting black and white on the outside. I can't wait to get this thing home. I'll be posting pics soon. Wish me luck. I'll have it at the Bikes, Bugs and BBQ.

Well it just didn't work out. I got down there and there was more rust than I wanted to deal with and it had taken a nasty hit in the left rear. The repair that was done on it by a previous owner didn't do such a good job on it. For the money, I didn't think it was worth it. But, the trip wasn't wasted as I brought home a few goodies. I got a couple of lp front beams to narrow up for someone, a complete thing front end which I already unloaded on someone building a baja, 2 sets of wheels. 1 set of repop 15x6 Porsche Fuchs and a set of aftermarket steel wheels for wide 5. Also picked up a very neat coke cooler. All of which I will be selling. I will have the the wheels and cooler at the cruise tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry it didn't work out, Tim. At least you got some good consolation prizes.
