'67 Westy "The Float"
Got an early start on the bus, managed to drain the old gas, which smells terrible...
...put in some fresh gas, and it came to life for maybe ten seconds :-/ The battery is *flat*, I think that's why it's cutting out. I have it on the charger but I'm guessing I'll need a new one.
Got a handle on what I need to fix before the old bus hits the road again. Replace broken speedo and cable, replace RGB housings (they leak, and most of the holes are stripped), figure out what to do about the master cylinder. I think it's a half-model-year part and I'm guessing insanely expensive by now. I thought I had one but I can't find it.
I'm certain there will be more since it has been sitting for so long. I was just happy to hear the engine run! Also, my lawnmower runs ok on varnish :-)

'67 masters are nearly unobtainium. They can be found but when you do find them it'll cost big $. You can modify (grind down) your brake plunger so it's possible to use an early bay MC which is what I've done to my bus.

Well, I did find the MC and it's the '67 only one. Looks like they are still available but wow, those prices! If it turns out I need to replace mine I suppose I'll use it and cross the road on converting it later.
