Man we got jipped. Not that I would have taken my car out in the snow, but we didn't even get enough snow to make the grass disappear. It's icy as crap, just not anywhere near as much snow though.

All we got was ice but it was still fun!

Yeah we had a constant 7 inches everywhere with 9 inches in the low spots.
My drive is .25 miles long, so I'm not going any where.
The plows still have not made it through the subdivision, the 4wd trucks have turned the road into ice... nice and thanks.
My boss is going to be pissed, but looks like another day off for me... LOL.

Well I work for the State, and with it being inauguration day today, they did NOT cancel work so I had to take a day of leave rather than try to go in. They did cancel it for tomorrow though so I get another day to enjoy my ice!

I made it 20 miles and the boss called and sent me home

Hwy 316 is nasty slick.

well i made it to work today it was slick today compaired to yesterday bu the kids on my road had a ball yester day i would have spared a hood for them to sled on but they didnt come to the shop an get one

Drove the wife to work today in the bug. Roads in Gwinnett are really bad. The bug didn't do to bad with it, other than being lowered causes issues when trying to ride in the other cars tracks.

Looks like fun!

well had to work 3rd shift both nights drove my bug tues night, long story short bugs,bridges, and black ice don't mix...hit the guard rail like a skaters nose slide, flipped Herbie style landed the trick to snow bank... still drove in to work (dedication right der) poor Gernie received a nasty bit o' damage hood,driver side frt quater,fender,apron, and bumper.. I myself only damaged my pride but live on to see that it can be put back together another day. Please be careful out there

the thought has crossed my mind lot cheaper but could be cool or maybe volksrod IDK sure was a nice scenic ride while it lasted.. miss the snow from upstate new york so it reminded me when I was a teen. still southern born..got a sawzall and a kick a$$ cooler half full of beer and maybe a bug juice or two.. still trying to post my pics before and after comp. illiterate suppose

Oh man! I'm so sorry to see that. The old saying is "just remember it could have been worse", but that still doesn't make it any better. Best of luck with the repairs. Glad you are ok.

[img][/img]Well hindsight's 20/20 w/ glasses on so I've heard. took a few days to collect my thoughts n count my pennies and have decided not to hack on ol' Gernie.. I know it looks bad but things happen, like a Timex he took a lickin'...but over the yrs he's had his share of bumps and bruises scrapes and such a few minor surgeries battles w/ cancer(he's still undergoing)and that in part is what makes Gernie special, so Dr.Frank"e" has ordered him to undergo a few minor adjustments followed by an array of massages though scarring and discoloration is expected, we are hoping for a speedy recovery..Thanx everyone
