need 6 volt battery

I work in advance auto parts, a guy came in looking for a battery for a 1957 vw, apparently he brought the car from germany, he is a soldier, but I have no luck finding one.

Thanks, I called NAPA and he ordered it overnight. The parts pro did not know what I was talking about. I had to look up the number and give it to him.

I'm guessing the 6 volt battery we stock, wouldn't work? (i too work at advance auto). wrong group size perhaps? I sold one to a guy with a 63 bug once. he just went to the rack and picked it up. (so i didn't look it up, so i'm not sure what apal said). when he came back he said it worked great. I thought it was too tall. perhaps he doesn't have a back seat

Before I switched over to 12 volt I used a 8 volt Battery which gave me a little more power. I eventually had to switch to 12 couldn't find a generator to replace. Rich-B 2 cents worth
