I believe that's what your "Guest Bedroom" is good for

Seriously, when I first got married, I kept my longblock on a milk crate in the guest bedroom of our first apartment. You should have seen the expression on my father-in-law's face when they came to visit us!!

That was me. It was quite a relief not to have to completely rebuild it. Doodlebug hooked me up with a new rocker arm and I didn't need to do much else to her.

I must have gone there on a bad day. The guy I talked to wouldn't give me a price or an estimated completion date.

X2, but the paint job they put on it after it comes out of the vat is crappy

The inside is real nice, it gets rid of all the rust and scale

Well it poped out without a hitch will need to get a set of transmission mounts and a bigger carb. I took the Gas tank to Sims Radiator in Decatur -2 miles from house. $125 for it to be lined. I went ahead and told him to do it. I found a new onw from JC Whitney for $189 after taxes and shipping $225. I'd rather stick with the original I now it fits! So just waiting to see what the damadge is from Doodle Bugg.

Thats crazy on the gas tank. All you need is a bottle of acid from the pool store for like 15 bucks, a 30 dollar bottle of red coat gas tank sealer from oreillys and a hand full of nuts and bolts. You drain your tank put in the handfull of nuts and bolts(make sure you count what you are putting in so when you take them out you are sure you got them all) along with the acid. tape off the opening and shake and flip the tank profusely. You then pour all of the contents out and rinse throughly with water. You then have to let it air out for a few hours. Then just follow the instructions on the red coat bottle and you have done what they charge 125 dollars for. Maybe a couple hours work.

BTW sounds like your engine dropped a valve but I guess you will know soon enough. Hope fully this will help some one on the tank and if anyone wants me to coat one for them I will do it for 125 dollars all day long.

Yes the only delima was time. I am slammed all week and even some weekends with my job. Sure Sims Probably is making a killing but it will have an Invoice which in future reference if anything goes wrong can be brought back and have them stand behind there work. I make a decent living so I'd rather pay money to know its done right then to guess or fowl it up. BTW Scarlett my bus is from Warner Robins Im the third owner its been a Ga. bus its whole life. I appreciate your input though thanks Rich-B
Yep it was a broke rod Doodle will have it ready hopefully this weekend. He's throwing on a bigger carb. The original carb from the 1400 cc was still on it. Its a 1600 cc now. and a oil cooler too.
