Replaced the clutch cable in the Jolly Rancher in the parking lot at work the other day. Went home greasy, hot, and scratched up but shifting good. Note to self: Order new spare clutch cable.

Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Took a few minutes at lunch today and finally got around to starting up the engine I got from Tim a few weeks ago. Got to finally try out my test box and bellhousing/starter set-up. Engine fired right up and idled great. Thanks again Tim!

Thanks! It's pretty primitive compared to some of the bench start set-ups I've seen on thesamba, but it got the job done.

Thats Herbies old engine Thats a good engine. I took a lot of time building it to make sure it was right.
Re: What did you do to your volkswagen today?
Yeah, it ran real nice today. I'm going to clean it up and switch it over to a doghouse set-up, and leave everything else as-is. Then just wait till I have the $$$ to get a project to put it in!
