No brakelights
I dont have any brakelights unless i am at a complete stop and mash very hard on the pedal. They are adjusted right and i have discs in the front. Im thinking maybe one of my switches is going or has went bad. What do yall think? Oh yeah its , my 74 standard
Re: No brakelights
I would say it's a switch. I had the same problem a while back and a new switch fixed it.
Re: No brakelights
I went ahead and ordered a couple. One is fried, Plug connector and all was rusted and coroded and pulled apart. They work alittle better getting the worst one out of the way. Two new ones will fix it i hope.
Re: No brakelights
Seems like 90% of the time it's usually a switch or a ground that's bad when you lose them both.

Re: No brakelights
you get this sorted?
Im having the same probs & more on my 60.
everything was working except my brakelights, I took my lights apart to check the connects etc.. now the turnsignals wont work aghh
Doesnt seem to be the brake switch so i guess im going to have to take a closer look at the turn signal switch

Re: No brakelights
I had similar issues with my '65. Ground is a big problem with these. The housing that the bulbs go into have to ground to the car body in order for the lights to work. I found that as I moved this housing around, the lights would come on and go off. I clean up the contact points especial on the little tab at the top of the silver light housing and finally got them all working.
Re: No brakelights
It was the switches, one of them anyway. Now i can tear up atlanta traffic again, with brakelights.
