I'm digging the hubcaps! And I agree with Kyle, I'm digging it without the skirts. Nothing against the skirts, but I like the look of cambered out rear wheels and the skirts just hide that look.

Just my 2 cents worth, but you've got too much chrome trim to roll the painted hubcaps-

BTW, I like the skirts, you're the only Bug rolling those, it's become your signature look

I've always dug the skirts- made the "hover craft" idea really work! I'd keep em. The commercial look just doesn't do it for me on a bug.

well jolene's issues from the other week ended up being a shot distrubutor. so finally got a new one on it yesterday and fired it up only to have the fuel pump go out about five minutes later. so hauled over to the shop and got one off the shelf, went hom and put it on, and still having fuel issues. carbs just are not working correctly don't know if they got some trash in them or if i've got a line blocked after the fuel pump. hopefully get it sorted tonight

Have you had the gas tank boiled out by a radiator shop? sometimes rust in the tank will fall off and clog the jets in your carbs

my tank just has a tiny bit of rust in it and i've never seen any chunks of rust in the filters or anywhere so i'm not too concerned about it. but got it all sorted out this evening and we're ready to roll this weekend! freakin pumped

well between work and school and a a towup engine i've been kind of out of it for a while
but a few weeks ago i finally got her all back together and going good. been driving the shit out of her ever since and other than a few bugs she's doing great and i'm so stoked to be driving an aircooled on a daily basis again.
so here's the update
new pro flo short block and rebuilt top end. dog house oil cooler and. switched to a 34/3 instead of the kaddies
and picked up some fog lights and euro bumper guards

and now that jolene is good and going i'm about to jump on the bus full steam! pics soon

update time jolene has been down for about two weeks know. pulled engine and tranny after bap to fix a tranny leak thats been bugging me for a while. ran into some issues with bearings. got that solved then ran into some cylinder head issues. but needless to say its all back together and on the road again now. trying to get the old girl ready for SOWO. more updates to come

cleaned and painted tranny w/ all new seals and stuff
cleaned up engine and put it all back together with a new head
installed oil breather box behind fan shroud. very interested to see if it will knock down engine temps like people say
also did up a new retarded exhaust lol wanted some sound with the extra clearance. so did away with the header flange and slapped a chrome tip on it
and scored some fat trim og running boards from bryce and they look awesome!
pics now
