New guy in Lilburn
Howdy. I'm new to the site. I currently am trying to resurrect my '76 westfalia camper that has been parked for 12 years.

I stopped by Beetle's BBQ last week and saw a bunch of yall there. You've got some nice rides.
My bus has a bit of rust and I'm looking for an honest appraisal of "how much is too much". I'm torn between trying to restore it or selling it as a parts car.

It's only too much if you want to make a profit or get your money back.
I spent too much on my bus but I'm proud to have saved it from the crusher.

Re: New guy in Lilburn
I drained the old gas and took the battery out and put it on a charger overnight. I'm gonna change the oil tonight and try to crank her up again.
I appreciate the offers for assistance. I just might take you up on it. I used to do most of the work on her myself and I even completely rebuilt my '67 beetle back in high school but that's been a while ago. I wouldn't mind the refresher course.

Re: New guy in Lilburn
Weird. I charged that battery overnight and when I put it back in the engine was trying to start, even without the key in the ignition. looks like tonight I'll be looking for a short in the wiring harness. Any suggestions about where to start?
