The Begining of the bus project HELP! It comes off the trailer...

Hey guys this bus thing is new to me. The bus that i acquired is crying for me to slam it. After reading some articles (ie.HotVWs) they talk about using a 68 type transaxle, I need to know you ideas on how to lower this thing 1. the quickest 2. the cheapest. and where I can acquire these parts. And any pics you can send would be nice.

oh buy the way It comes off the trailer today. My wife is not happy with it in the driveway.

I had to show my wife before and after pictures of the project to make her understand the final product. and I also printed a picture of http://www.busselecta.com/ and she got the concept much better. I actually keep this concept picture on the side of the bus so everyone can see how it would look.

But seriously flip the spindles you have to press them apart and clearance them and press them back together. Some people on the samba do it for 200ish

To narrow the beam you will need side plates and bushings 100 for the bushings, 70 ish for the plates and adjusters 30 and up

68 or 67 beetle tranny with offset springplates plates are around 200
