Dont know if any of you have met colin (itinerant air cooled mechanic)
He stopped by and helped me out a few years ago- replacing the heads on my 79 bus.
Super nice guy and really loves to share his knowledge of vw's.

Anyway
hes had better days
but hes doing fine now, just without the bus hes been driving since high school.

He was very lucky indeed!!

Head on collision is the bus pilots worst nightmare. I looks like it was a glancing blow, a little more to the left and he would probably not made it. Glad to hear he is ok, sounds like a nice guy.

Wow Shocked , Like Digger said, a split second sooner, and that impact would have been right in the middle of the nose. Glad he is doing okay.

Until Digger posted, I didn't know there was a link up there (maybe it shows up in some browsers, but it didn't look click-able on mine)
If anyone else can't see the link, click on "hes had better days" in Zabo's post.
