Hello check out my 59 with suicide doors

well i know who to come to to show me how to install my shit. i have an amp and a sub but still need a headunit and speakers. i dont really want my 12", my 10" will push just fine. just have to get the damned car legal before i go spending money on it.

Did a little exhaust work on her today, took the headers, j tubes, and stinger to work today and sandblasted it welded the j-tubes to make it one solid header, also patched a quarter sized hole on the pass side where the header meets the j-tube, and gave it a nice coat of high temp. It sounds a whole lot better, I can hear my radio without turning it up too loooud. I will post some pics of my work later

So how long ago was the doors changed!

Im not even sure I basically bought her this way a little more than a month ago, Ive done little work here and there the rewireing and all the stereo equip i installed, my money shortage is keeping me from really diving in, but once my funds go back to normal, ITS ON

I did a few things over the weekend, mainly exhaust and heat. I went to tims vw salvage on clay rd in mableton and got a pretty good deal on some heater boxes with tin, empi quad tip exhaust and all the gaskets to hook everything up, even the 4 heater hoses and the back tin. And also got a set of lug nuts for the rear since I lost two of my old ones. cost me $120 for all of it.

Thanks Jason, congrats on the little one. Oh yea I forgot in that 120 price i also got a replacement boot for the pass side transaxle, ripped open, I think I'm gonna take care of that this weekend when I do my valves

Got bored today had the day off due to gas sortage so I decided to somehow install this 7" flip down screen and walmart plastic center console with minimal damage to the integrity of the bug, only had to drill a couple holes through metal

My little 30a alternator finnaly gave up, I guess TOBY will be outa commision for a while... until i can gather the funds for an 75A or higher alt, neeeeed more POWER

Oreillys has alternators for like $70 just ask for like a 77 beetle alternator.

I am so right now, no money was spent fixing Toby just wasted on breaking him. My alternator was hooked up wrong, the light was connected to ground, I new that a couple weeks ago, but since then Toby was running like crap spitting and sputtering under load, I new it was not the carb because that pos was running perfectly before hand, I decided to take my 009 dizy apart to see if the spring was still there which it was, i figured since i had it out i might as well put the points and condenser back in, and what do you know fired right up like nothing even happened and runs better than ever, It was the Hotspark electronic ignition this whole da-gum time 30 dollars well spent huh . I might throw it back in there tomorrow to be positive it was the EI... but for now... IM GOING TO DRIVE THE HECK OUT OF TOBY!!!!!!

Glad to see you got Toby back in commission! I'll be keeping an eye out for you around NAS ATL.

yea 2, i underestimated It was a whole lot easier than i thought, it only took me an hour

Outer or inner?

just outer, easier, didnt want to mess with the inner

I drove my blue 67 with two outers just like that. I took out the bump stops so it would sit lower and it ended up basically bottomed out.

yea the jack was stuck under it when i dropped it and i had to lower the rear tire on to a 4x4 just to get it out from under it, f-ing sweet I think one should be perfect

Fixed it up one outer notch, two notches was to much, perfect quite a different ride, I like
