No. 1970 is the last year you can legally run.

That's because 1970 was the last year of the colored (blue, red, black) tags in GA. Also the last year they embossed the actual year of the tag in the metal. From 1971 up, they were just white tags that you changed the year sticker on, like today.

In 71 the tag was still pressed with a '71, but it had the spot for the sticker....

I saw a 76 GA tag the the other day that had "76" pressed in also. Guess I was wrong.

Yeah, the only nice '57 license plate that I've seen was selling for $150., that's because someone with a 57 Chevy or 57 T-Bird would pay that.

Go to oldtag.com that's where I pick up a 56 tag for $120 and a 69 tag for $20. Any tag under a 1959 is going to run you at least a $100.
