Hi yall. i'm looking for the rear clip for my bug. i need the rear clip, as well as the sides where the bumber bracket bolts to. So if you've just done a baja conversion, i need what you just cut off, hahaha. i really want the earlier style, that uses the longer decklid (i think its 67 and back, but not sure), not the short style decklikd found on 70's model bugs. if you also happen to have a decklid, thats cool too. Don't have a lot to spend, and would also be willing to trade for whatever. ...

Wanted: 1953-1959 Original Beetle Drivers Side Front Fender

I now need a Driver side front fender for my 1959 bug. I can use any fender from 1953 - 1959. These early fenders have the metal wiring conduit tubes at the bottom of the fenders headlight buckets. If the metal tube is not there, the hole for the wiring is in the bottom of the headlight bucket. Starting in 1960, they went to a rubber wiring tube that comes out at either towards the upper side of the headlight bucket. I just found a 1957 right side Euro fender today, so I am half way there.

Thanks,

Danny

***EDIT 2***

I finally got round to fitting these to the van, and I was very pleased until I tried to drive off; I moved about 6" before... crunch, stopped dead... bugger... the front right was jammed on the caliper On closer inspection said rim is bent, oh how I wish I had noticed this earlier, preferably before I handed over my hard-earned, anyway, to cut a long story short, I need one more wheel. Anyone have one or know of any? I also still need 3 centre caps. Thanks.

I bought a set of Empi 8's from him about 2 years ago.

I think he lives off of Covered Bridge Rd. near the Power Plant. (It's been a couple of years and I've slept since then...)

He rebuilt engines in his garage. Someone on Craigs list in Atlanta was posting them for him, just hoped that I could get back into touch with him.

I want the contact info to pass along to another person.

I think that I could find his house again, but I just do not want to drive an hour to see if I can.

Thanks,
