It was less than 20 minutes from the house so I figured I would check it out. After looking it over, me and p.o. (Brad) struck a deal and the bus was delivered the next day. I started the rebuild a while back and was documenting it in the detailed repairs forum but ran out steam on it. I think some pics were taken during Volkstock and I will add them to the other thread as soon as I have them. Overall the install went pretty well. Another interesting note is that 1970 was the only year with its taillight/engine lid combination. It is the only hardtop with a "convertible style" rear decklid (70-72? standard, 71-72? super, not sure what year they stopped)) as well as "small" triangle style taillights (68-70). The engine is a stock 1600DP, but with single quiet-pack exhaust and header.
