Many many years ago he was a mechanic at one of the metro VW dealers and had parked an old bus at his property. She knew nothing about it. She brought me a photo of it from behind. She did state that he had put a ton of parts inside the bus. Dont know much more. In the picture it shows a small rear hatch and little round tail lights.

Sunday was the day I decided to tackle lowering the rear of my 66 Beetle that's been converted to IRS. I had the CV joint disconnected and the spring plate disconnected from the axle assy. The car was up on jack stands and I pushed the axle assy down so the drum was on the floor. No matter what, I still can't use the spring plate tool to safely lower the spring plates because the axle assy is in the way of the nut/arms on the lower end of the spring plate tool. It looks like I need the car ...

I'm thinking that the Bouden tube has to be it. It was replaced when the trany was rebuilt in 2000. I bought this car in 2001 and it has been under construction at times over the last 8 yrs. I've put about 350mls on it since the first part of Oct. It also shutters when shifting from 1st to 2nd. 3rd and 4th are perfect. I don't ...

I have a AJ case (FI - no fuel pump hole) engine that I just got out of a 1972 Super that appears to have been split. The rebuilder marked the case under the dog house and right under the carbwith either a W or an M. Said W or M was made with a series of peens from a center punch. Each 1/2 is marked in 2 spots, and the case halves have the same casting # stamped into them. The car has a new looking starter and the engine was equiped with a Weber 2 bbl. The ...

The replacement clips available are from 62 which have a different fuel tank. I don't have a problem replacing the front clip with a non 1960 front clip as it is not an original car anyways.
just something thats been on my mind for a while. Is the backseat supposed to fold all the way down? Cuz the back seat in my 74 super won't go all the way down. it seems like the pivot for the top part, is too low, and the bottom of the top part, hits the back of the bottom part of the seat, and won't let it fold all the way down. Is this normal? i went to the junkyard the other day, and noticed the bug there did that too. Is this a common issue? anyone ever try to fix this issue somehow?

Can anyone out there help????

Or does anyone have a nice steering column for reasonable?

It's a 1974 standard but if another year earlier will fit I'd be interested in that since my ignition switch is not stock anyway.
