I've slowly been working on this since I brought it home from storage in IL. I've had this car since I was 13 years old. (many years) I reworked the engine, brakes, etc.. 14 years ago. Drove the car around to local shows in IL for a few years and then moved to GA in 2000. I had the car in my fathers garage and he started up and drove it to local shows for a couple of years but has left it sitting for the past 5 years.

I brought it home back in April of this year and slowly took the engine ...

I don't know if any of you guys have seen this thread, but this guy is restoring a 1961 Impala Convertable that sat in a ditch for about 20 years and had another car drug over the top of it. He's basically replaced about 97% of the original car, so if you need some encouragement to tackle a rust repar, here it is:

http://www.impalas.net/forums/showthread.php?t=686

His thread is about 24 pages long, but your jaw will drop when you see how much rust he cut out of the original car.

Enjoy!!

Well i was gonna keep my downhill racer a secret, but decided "what the hell" and am just gonna make a "build thread" on it. It also seems not too many people are doing it, so hopefully it will encourage a few others to participate.

Basically it's a small fiberglass beetle body i will attach to my go-kart. The plans are to Chop the top, and am not sure weather i want to cut the fenders off and make it a rat rod, or just leave it as is. Here are some pics of the ...

I rebuilt this Chevy panel over three years time. After I did the body work I painted it and the first time I went some where with the wife the rear-end went out. I fixed that and the next time the motor took a dump. Over the next year I built a 383 stroker motor and now I only have a few details to address and I will be done with it.
