Club Wide Starlight VW Nite

Hello All
I have sent an Email to the Starlight Drive-In about a "Club Wide Meet". I was thinking a Saturday in April, around 5pm meet and enter the Drive-In, Tailgate, mix and mingle (talk shop) and then catch a couple movies. I've been to this drive-in several times and its a cool place. Cost for the movie is $7 per person and kids 3 to 9 are just a $1, under 3 is Free!!! I'm not sure if there will be a cost for them letting us in early, their gates open at 6pm normally but the crowd starts early. Being able to go in and setup at our leisure will be good. Not sure what will be playing but a set of family oriented movies would be perfect.

I think that this is a close proximity so that its not really to far for most of us. I hope they'll let us in and not charge us anything.

No extra charge to enter Drive-In at 5pm on a Sat. The manager is excited for us to come out.

Update 2/26/2009
Talked to the Theater Manager today we have a go for the 25th as planned. The time we get in has changed, we can start lining up at 5pm and enter at 6pm. That way we can all be together. You can grill out if you like, he asked that we not dump out hot coals and that we are finished with all activities by show time. So grills out campers down, etc.
I told him around 75 to 100 vehicles, so make plans now. Get with your chapter members and get an estimated count.

Easter is on the 12th so that one is out too. May 9th would be the second Sat. in May. Just thinking out loud.

It is hot at night there so lets not get to late in the year.

Just got a reply back from the Starlight and there is no charge for us to enter the Drive-In at 5pm on a Sat., well your ticket price for the movies. The manager is thrilled that we are planning on coming. I'm pumped about this I hope we can get everyone to come out.

Please keep throwing out those dates for shows and other events so we can nail down a date that will not conflict. Cool "Starlight Invasion"
