NOPE- IT'S PRETTY LAID BACK AND FRIENDLY. THERE ARE DIFFERENT DIFFERENT CLUBS FOR DIFFERENT AREAS- NOW JOINED TOGETHER HERE AS A HUGE CLUB! THERE ARE A LOT OF ACTIVITIES ON THE WEEKENDS TOO- SHOWS, CRUISE NIGHTS OR CRUISES.

o.k a lil about tha bus well its a bus soo i'm having a few problems that i need to work out, i need to get a carb i just had a tune up done on it,had the back brakes done and a wheel cylender, i think i'm starting to find out that i have to learn everything about this bus in order to keep it running lol. i've always wanted one and now that i have one uhhh i just want it to run good.lol i'm planing to redo the inside (oh yeah its a westy) when i bought it he told me it was a 72 and thats what was on my bill of sale and i found his bill of sale and it said 72 aswell but one of the times i was broke down on the side of the road (yeah 1 of the times lol) other bus owner tried to help me out and told me it was realy a 73 lol he showed me on the vin number.. thats the greatest part of having a bus is anyone with a bus will try to help you out if they can!!

MIEN_VW your right down the street from me i'm right @ canton rd and piedmont rd. do you know a good spot do get work done thats not gonna break the bank?

Is it still a stock pancake engine or has it been converted to an upright? Not to many places will touch the pancakes, best place close by is Tims in austell or Stockernaut in Cumming. Your best bet is to do it yourself. I will pm you my info maybe you can swing by one day. If your up this morning swing on by, have a fiend in his westy comming over so I can weld his exhaust back together.

SOMEONE HAD STOPED TO TRY TO HELP ME ONCE AND TOLD ME THIS IS A 73 AND ITS GOT THE SAME ENGINE AS SQUAREBACKS ITS NOT THE BUG MOTOR. REALY I DON'T KNOW VERY MUCH ABOUT IT AT ALL..... THATS WHY I'M ON HERE IS TO TRY TO FIND SOME NICE PEOPLE THAT CAN HELP ME LEARN MORE ABOUT IT..

Sounds like its the pancake, a "bug" engine has different tin and is set up a bit differently. I will give you a call, whens the best time? Before you buy the carb let me take a look at it and see what its doing. Might be something simple.
