homemade headers or a certan kind of headers

i made a 3 1/2 in. tranny mount for my 64 bug.i put the engine in and the headers wouldint fit. so i cut the apron so that they wud fit. but my exhaust will not bolt up unless i cut the apron and the decklid. so shud i make homemade headers or is there one i cud buy that will fit all around without cuttin???? please pm me any info..thanx SKUNK..

every one i no of that has done this has either modified there existing header or made one from scratch an thats fun
